warriors of light camps

The Warriors of Light camps are an excellent opportunity for your child to experience our unique approach to working with children.

In these camps, kids learn and practice skills such as teamwork, movement, playful sword and archery training, and outdoor survival skills like fire-making, working with axes, and using ropes.

Each camp offers different activities and themes, but the core values that guide our work remain the same: a sense of belonging, friendship, and trust among children.

About our camps

What Will Your Child Experience at Camp?

At our upcoming camp for children ages 7 to 12, we offer hands-on experiences that engage both body and mind, blending skill-building with meaningful values. Each activity is designed to support healthy development — physically, emotionally, and socially — while offering fun, challenge, and connection. Here’s what we’ll explore:

Mind-Body Movement Practices
Throughout the camp, we will engage in movement-based practices that combine physical activity with mindfulness and breath. Using games, balance exercises, and coordination drills, children learn to listen to their bodies, calm their nervous systems, and move with presence. These activities help develop emotional regulation, focus, and a strong connection between body and mind — essential skills for growing children.

Bamboo Building and Rope Lashing

Throughout the camp, we’ll work together on constructing a large bamboo structure using traditional rope lashing techniques. Children will learn hands-on tying methods, participate actively in the building process, and contribute to a shared creation that evolves over time. This long-term project teaches the value of patience, teamwork, and commitment to a goal that slowly takes shape — helping them understand that meaningful results often come through steady, intentional effort.

Archery Skills and Inner Focus
Through archery, children practice breath control, posture, and mental clarity. Drawing the bow requires focus, coordination, and quiet presence. It’s a discipline that strengthens the upper body while also building patience and a sense of mastery through repeated practice. Success comes not from force, but from calm and precision — an important life lesson.

Play-Fight with Foam Swords – Communication Through Movement

With soft training swords, we’ll explore the art of play-fighting — a dynamic way to develop physical awareness, emotional balance, and respectful interaction. Through this playful combat, children learn boundaries, cooperation, and non-verbal communication. It's a fun and active way to build confidence, courage, and healthy social skills.

Axe Skills and Safe Body Awareness
Children will learn to safely use an axe to create wood shavings for our fire. This activity emphasizes proper body alignment, balance, and full-body coordination. Working with tools fosters self-confidence and a deep sense of responsibility. It enhances both gross and fine motor skills while teaching focus, care, and respect for one's environment.

Fire-Making and Natural Connection
Using the wood shavings we prepare, we will learn to build and light a fire in a safe, mindful way. This ancient skill introduces children to one of nature’s core elements and teaches patience, planning, and presence. They’ll come to appreciate fire as a force that requires care and understanding, and experience the satisfaction of seeing their efforts come to life.

Storytelling Around the Fire
Gathered in a circle around the fire, we’ll listen to ancient folktales from different cultures. Storytime nurtures the imagination, creates emotional safety, and invites children to reflect on values, characters, and life questions in a gentle way. This shared experience helps develop empathy, listening skills, and a deeper sense of cultural connection.
